I’ve had several experiences when visitors ask me to name the 10 Best Hotel Stay near Penang Avatar Secret Garden.
Interesting question! My answer is, “It all depends..”
The hotels are luxurious stays that you will find comfortable and enjoyable.
No two hotels or resorts are the same, and if you want to spend some beach time together as a couple, a group, or even a family.
So, if you’re looking to relax and take a breather from your busy schedule, the beach hotels offer luxury, comfort, and great views.
If you’re looking for a place to rest during a weekend away, I recommend staying at a city hotel within walking distance of the malls.
I prefer to stay in a hotel within a reasonable distance of where I want to visit.
Some like a quiet hotel stay… [updated]
For a bit of quiet to recharge your batteries, pick a hotel with the best amenities. There, you can have everything you need in-house without hassle.
I like hotel stays best as they allow me to not do any housework, come back to a clean room, clean sheets, a beautiful, relaxed environment, and an excellent, peaceful, undisturbed sleep at night.
For the children, a hotel stay is an exciting occasion, especially during vacations, with a pool to play in. Call it an adventure!
So what do you do after you map out all the “Makan” places to hit in George Town?
After shopping at the malls and eating seafood, I usually take my visitors to the Penang Avatar Secret Garden for a nice walk under a canopy of bright lights for an exciting night walk.
To chill out and enjoy the view.
Getting a taxi or Grab car works well if you don’t want to drive and park.
If you like to walk to the Penang Avatar Secret Garden, park your car nearby at Tesco. Straits Quay is near enough for a stroll to the beach area before sunset. Get ready to experience the stunning lights.

I’ve never been to the Penang Avatar Secret Garden despite being here on the island! I know! So embarrassing right?
The only time I come to this place is when my KL and PJ friends drag me here for the baked crabs. I have a friend who absolutely loves the seafood here despite its lack of variety and styles of cooking. Maybe it’s time I tried acting like a tourist in my own backyard – thanks for the heads-up and reminding me that Penang is a treasure trove of interesting things to do and explore (besides all that eating, of course).
Hi Krista
I absolutely agree. Penang is definitely a treasure trove of wonderful surprises. I’m amazed that are so many wonderful places to visit and check out. The list grows every day. There is now a new wave of fine dining restaurants that are cropping up. These chef owned restaurants are both innovative and exciting. Penang is not only a Street Food haven but one dotted with creative cuisine for sampling.
I’m so looking forward to the next boom of jazz bars!
