Thong Kee Cafe in Sea Park, Petaling Jaya, is a Hainanese kopitiam originating from Bentong, Pahang.
This coffee shop serves excellent toast, croissants, and doughnuts alongside Hainan coffee and tea.
The drinks are the best and complement the offerings from the other stalls for breakfast and lunch.
My first experience was at the original Thong Kee Kopitiam in Bentong, Pahang.
By the time I reached the Kopitiam, the last Kaya Butter Croissant was sold out.
It is that popular; I kid you not.
I was visiting Petaling Jaya, and Wendy suggested a breakfast stop for Kaya Butter Croissant; I was game.
Little did I know I was so lucky to try another Thong Kee outlet in Sea Park, Petaling Jaya.

Those who enjoy the taste of vegans can opt for margarine instead of butter.

What’s the verdict of the Kopitiam Breakfast Croissant at Thong Kee Cafe Sea Park?
Thong Kee’s reviews from locals and friends are simply delicious.
They might not go into describing the texture and taste apart from saying,
” The toasts and croissants are really good.”
For me, the croissants were exceptional – Crispy on the outside and soft and buttery inside.
You get that satisfying crunch when you munch into it.
Toasts and croissants are delicious.
My personal favorite is the simple Cheese, Ham, and Egg Croissant (RM7.90).
This hearty breakfast pairs perfectly with the thick, aromatic, and creamy Thong Kee’s famous “Cham” (RM2.20).
The coffee/tea concoction is perfect without being overly cloying.
If you want a lighter breakfast, you can order the famous Kaya + Butter Croissant (RM5.90)
The basic version of Hainan Roti Bakar with Butter + Kaya (RM1.90), which I tried in Bentong, is decent.
Now that I have the lux version, I would opt for the Cheese + Ham + Egg Croissant anytime.

If you’re like me and want to eat quickly without waiting for my food, you need to set your alarm early.
Thong Kee is a place where I wouldn’t mind waking up early for breakfast.
Although the restaurant was crowded, the service was fast and efficient.
We got our food as they rolled out after 10 minutes.
