The general ambiance is well-lit, with sparkling decorations.

At one of the night markets, there is a venue for live performances and art exhibitions.

The area has one of the best hygiene encounters in the night market.

The atmosphere is very relaxed, with vast, comfortable walking space.

We could walk freely without feeling hemmed in.

Cicada Market Hua Hin Layout

We found the Cicada Market’s food area and stalls to be the cleanest, well-laid out, and a pleasure to browse.

Cicada Market has four sections or venues

  1. Art À la mode
  2. Cicada Art Factory
  3. Amphitheatre, and
  4. Cicada Cuisine.

What to Buy Art À la mode?

Art À la mode is a place for young Thai entrepreneurs, artists, and students to gather to showcase their products.

Art and craft vendors have their stalls on both sides of the walkway.

The common theme is art and crafts.

Some vendors may be professionals or even amateurs in the various fields of the arts.

There are fashion clothing, handmade bags, accessories, trinkets.

There are many handmade decorative items sold in open-style stalls.

Some stalls sell crafts, souvenirs, paper products, and even pre-loved items.

Young Hipster Vendors man the stalls

Most of the vendors here are young people from art colleges.

There are local vendors and some vendors from Bangkok.

The community is one artist supporting artists with the help of the local community and tourists.

Some young people we spoke to are designers who make a little extra income over the weekend.

Young Thai entrepreneurs are very creative in displaying and choosing attractive products.

They separate their creations and other items bought from the more significant wholesale markets.

The design here appears more unique.

Some items are simply irresistible and very cute or even practical.

The prices are reasonable; the sellers are friendly and nice.

You will find T-shirts with unique graphic designs—bedazzled iPhone cases.

We bought exciting and quirky trinkets, pretty bracelets, cute earrings, and crochet animal fridge magnets!

What to Eat at Cicada Cuisine – Cicada Market Food?

Cicada Cuisine (Food Zone) has many local and international cuisines.

These include Thai noodles, rice dishes, and seafood stalls.

The setup is very professional and clean.

If you’re on a budget, skip the seafood and head to the Tamarind Market next door for local-style food.

For our dinner, we ordered

  • Pad Thai, Som Tam (Thai papaya salad),
  • Fried Mussels Thai Style, and
  • Thai Style Grilled Pork

We ordered the must-have dessert, Thai mango sticky rice.

If you prefer international cuisine, there’s Korean B.B.Q, American and Italian pasta, and Chinese Stir-Fry dishes.

There is a good variety of desserts, and they serve many choices of drinks.

You can buy food tokens from white booths dotted around the site.

You use these to buy a wide choice of foods and drinks.

There is a wine bar here.

You get to sit at proper tables and chairs to enjoy your dinner.

You can return unused food tokens for a full refund before 11 pm.

Cicada Market Hua Hin Promotes Performing Arts

At the amphitheater-style venue, the performing arts take center stage to entertain, educate, and even amuse visitors.

We enjoyed some traditional dances and a rock concert with Thai ballads.

The performances rotated regularly to promote the works of talented artists in the performing arts.

The creative activities include workshops, fine arts exhibitions, dance performances, music from the university, community theatre, and various local artists.
