Kucina Italian Restaurant at Penang Marriott offers a set lunch from RM78—perfect if you’re craving Italian cuisine without flying to Southern Italy.

For an affordable price, you can indulge in a delightful three-course meal, including coffee or tea, and choose your main course from a diverse menu.

Prices for Kucina’s Set Lunch have been revised. It’s now RM78 for the 2-course Duo Delight and RM98 for the 3-course Signature Trio. The food and experience? Still fantastic.

Whether you crave a hearty dish or a scrumptious pizza, Kucina has something for everyone.

Unfortunately, on our visit, the oven wasn’t firing up properly, so pizza wasn’t available.

But we’re already planning our next trip to try their pizza and salads!

Can you believe that my dining companions and I tried the Set Lunch three times?

We got to sampling more than half the menu yet somehow I forgot to write a review?

It wasn’t until recently that I realized just how much I enjoyed Kucina’s beautifully plated dishes and cozy atmosphere.

Each visit left a lasting impression, and now I’m excited to share what makes this place truly worth discovering.

The Dining Experience

Stylish Kucina is an Italian specialty restaurant offering an authentic taste of Italy right along Gurney Drive.

It has a unique combination of traditional and modern Italian cuisine.

Set against the backdrop of a Mediterranean-inspired ambiance, is truly captivating.

With views of the hotel’s pool and the sea beyond, dining here feels like a mini getaway to paradise.

Let’s dive into the Set Lunch Menu, there a list of impressive starters for Ala Carte.

The set lunch menu changes daily, and while this was what we tried when it first opened, we believe the current offerings are just as good—if not better.

Heirloom Tomato Soup – RM32+

Kucina Caesar – RM36+
Buttermilk Dressing, Grana Padano Cheese, Sous Vide Egg, Cashew Nuts, Croutons

We particularly enjoyed the Heirloom Tomato Soup, made with a medley of heirloom, Roma, and cherry tomatoes, and enhanced by a drizzle of basil oil.

The tortellini with portobello filling was bursting with umami flavors and equally memorable.

Main Courses

The Basil Pesto Pasta, served with perfectly pan-seared Hokkaido scallops, was outstanding.

The pasta was al dente, and the creamy pesto sauce was bursting with vibrant herbaceous flavors.

Desserts

Dessert was a highlight of the meal. We sampled both options twice!

The Tiramisu was undoubtedly the best in town—rich and creamy with the perfect cocoa bitterness.

The panna cotta was smooth and silky, making it an excellent finish to our meal.

A tempting array of delicious Italian desserts, featuring tiramisu, cannoli, and panna cotta, each offering a taste of authentic Italian sweetness.

Coffee and Tea

To top off our decadent desserts, we were treated to coffee or tea, which was the perfect end to our meal.

Service & Atmosphere

The service at Kucina was exceptional, with attentive staff and excellent recommendations.

The warm, inviting atmosphere made it an ideal setting for any mini-celebration.

Final Thoughts

Kucina offers a fantastic mix of traditional and modern Italian cuisine in a beautiful setting.

Starting from RM78, the set lunch is excellent value for the quality and experience.

After such a delightful experience, I can’t wait to return to savor more of their delectable dishes.
