It’s a genius Recipe and insanely delicious.
I use the same three ingredients in this tomato soup, add a little water and left everything chunky as I was too lazy to wash the blender.
The recipe calls to blend everything just before serving – so you get this bright red velvety decadent tomatoey soup flavour with onion.
Cook it down; it becomes Pizza Sauce.
Thin it to the right consistency, and the sauce is ready to be spooned over pasta or noodles.
The recipe is so simple as it uses classic ingredients – everyday pantry ingredients, and best of all, you don’t even need garlic or dairy product or herbs.
Three Ingredient Tomato Soup Recipe
Makes 2 generous servings
- 220g single tin of CIRIO peeled tomatoes (instead of Fresh Tomatoes).
- 1 medium onion
- 50g Butter
- 1 1/2 cups water, low sodium vegetable stock, or chicken stock
- Bit Of Salt and Black Pepper to taste
How To Make Homemade Tomato Soup From Scratch
1. Finely dice the onion, set it aside.
2. Melt the butter in a saucepan, add in the onion and sweat it slowly over medium heat on the stove.
3. Open the tinned Tomatoes and pour them in.
4. Break up the whole Tomatoes and bring everything to a low simmer.
5. Add salt and simmer for 20 minutes.
6. Thanks to the butter working its magic, it turns into a Creamy Tomato Soup without any Heavy Cream.
7. Use an immersion blender (if you have one). A regular blender works as well.
8. Adjust the soup season with Salt and Pepper.
9. Spoon into a simple bowl.
10. Serve with a grilled cheese sandwich.
