Coffee Elements offers much more than just coffee.
It’s the kind of café that could easily go unnoticed—until you experience it for yourself.
Hidden in the suburbs of Farlim, it used to be located at All Seasons Place.
I used to drop by for a post-dinner coffee and stayed for their hot chocolate while chatting with the friendly owner.
He would often encourage me to try their breakfast, lunch, and dinner, saying, “You won’t be disappointed.”
And he was right.
Since then, I’ve had meals with Bee, David, and a few other friends.
Recently, Irene and I went for a late lunch.
My only regret was not trying their menu sooner!

Where Is Coffee Elements?
Coffee Elements was at All Seasons Place in Farlim, Air Itam.
Most visitors would hang out at the busy shops and eateries on the ground floor.
Coffee Elements is hidden away on the first floor.
Probably due to its slightly hidden location away from foot traffic, few visitors ventured upstairs.
The café is easily located above Starbucks, and a lift can take you upstairs.
New coffee spots may come and go, but Coffee Elements stays popular.
Regulars love its simple setup and tasty food, making it a top choice.
It has moved to Farlim Square.
Coffee Elements Menu
Coffee Elements is perfect for breakfast and brunch.
Its café-style offerings also make it great for lunch, tea, and dinner.
There’s always a special bake of the day (cakes).
When we went, only Irene’s Brownies (RM12.50) and Tiramisu (RM19.00) were available.
The Tiramisu had just been put in the chiller and wasn’t ready yet.
Irene pulled a face.
Irene: “Why do they display it if we can’t order?”
Dory: “That’s the chiller.”
Irene: “Well, it’s torture to see but not eat!”
Menu & Prices
One of the things we appreciate about Coffee Elements is its affordable food prices.
Cafés in Penang can be an expensive luxury if you don’t know where to find outlets with pocket-friendly prices.
Coffee Elements is a noteworthy eatery that offers reasonable prices, great taste, attractive plating, and friendly service.
The food and drinks are all reasonably priced with no service charge or government tax.
Breakfast & Brunch Platter
Most places that serve a Big Breakfast include pork bacon on their menu.
Since I’ve stopped eating pork, people often ask if I’ve changed religions.
Dory: “Very amusing take, people!”
Do you ask someone if they’ve stopped eating, say, pineapple, for instance?
Anyway, back to the pork-free menu.
I appreciate Coffee Elements’ approach to breakfast, as they offer a delicious, no-pork option.
I love that they have a customizable breakfast menu starting with a pocket-friendly Toast Starter.
Egg on Toast Starter RM8
American Cheesy Scrambled Eggs on Toast—just this alone is enough for a small eater.
Naturally, I had to customize my order.
I added on nearly all the menu items!
Add On Options RM1 to RM4.50
- Baked Beans RM1.50 √
- Grilled Tomato RM1.0
- Homemade Chicken Sausage Meat RM3.5 √
- Homemade Beef Sausage Meat RM4.5 √
- Chicken Ham RM1.50 √
- Beef Bacon RM2.50 √
- Smoked Salmon RM4.50

- Potato Salad RM2.50 √
- Additional slice of wholemeal bread RM1.50.
- Extra Egg for Scrambled Eggs RM1.50
If you go the whole nine yards, you will have a bill of RM36.
I decided to go for a smaller portion (where got it? I’ll try my best to finish it, Dory!)
I spied other diners; they shared their Breakfast & Brunch Platter, and I was greedy enough.
The toasts are crispy and buttered – nice.
American Cheesy Scrambled Eggs – I like soft folds like curds; adorable!
Potato Salad – I’m a potato head, and I like the version here with raw onions and celery.
Homemade Beef Sausage Meat – okay, it tastes like a mini hamburger.
Homemade Chicken Sausage Meat—nope, it’s just too overcooked and hard. I took a bite and left 2/3 uneaten.
Pumpkin Soup RM7.50
Served with free-flowing bread.
Soup with excellent pumpkin sweetness.
Smoked Salmon Salad RM15.00
Smoked salmon salad with sesame sauce dressing.
It was tasty and had plenty of toasted sesame seeds on top.
Food Prices in 2022
Traditional Western food stalls in Penang’s kopitiam charge RM8 to RM15 per plate.
A bowl of noodles costs just RM4.
Coffee Elements offers great value.
Their mains are only a dollar or two higher than kopitiam Western food.
Most mains in George Town cafes start at RM20.
In contrast, the prices at Coffee Elements are very affordable.
Green Beast Platter RM17.50
Grilled Chicken Breast served with creamy pesto sauce, thick-cut fries with mixed greens.
Chicken Cream Mushroom RM17.50
Grilled chicken thighs are served with mushroom cream sauce and mixed greens.
Coffee Elements Desserts
Unluckily, we visited on a day when most cakes were sold out.
Only some chocolate brownies remained.
Irene’s Brownies RM12.50
They had crispy edges and a rich chocolate flavor.
The brownies and Vanilla Ice Cream scoops disappeared quickly.
Irene’s Brownies did not disappoint.
We ordered one to try and ended up ordering another because we were greedy.
Some recipes call for salt to balance the sweetness of cake batters.
However, a salty flavor shouldn’t be noticeable.
Since Irene and I are chocoholics, we enjoyed the hint of salt.
It reminded us of salted caramel.
Coffee & Latte
Both coffees are smooth and not acidic.
We enjoyed a good night’s rest.
The milk is creamy and delightful.
Best of all, the café offers complimentary water for customers.
You don’t need to order drinks if you don’t want to.
Coffee Elements Review
The café has well-spaced tables and an outdoor area for fresh air.
Overall, the café feels breezy.
Yes, there is table service.
The friendly staff and owners are available to help with the menu.
I love the cute magazine-format menu.
Since my brunch with Irene, I’ve returned for breakfast and coffee.
Final Thoughts
Coffee Elements hits all the right notes: tasty food, affordable prices, friendly service, and a cozy atmosphere.
Whether you’re in for a meal or just a coffee break, this café in Farlim is definitely worth a visit.
