Lagenda Cafe Penang Serves HALAL Malay Cuisine With A Twist
Seniman Agong (Great Artiste) P.Ramlee is the inspiration of Lagenda Cafe Penang, which serves a delightful HALAL Malay cuisine with a twist at Campbell Street in Penang.
Celebrating the Life of P Ramlee
The food in Lagenda Café in honor of Penang’s beloved musician, actor, and songwriter cuts all ethnicity, just like P.Ramlee’s songs.
Now his music lives on in Lagenda Café on Campbell Street, Penang, where you could have a Fusion style meal and order a “Getaran Jiwa” drink to enjoy.
The Melodius Music of P. Ramlee
Is this the original sax that P. Ramlee played? You have to ask the owner of the cafe to find out.
Filled with a huge mural of P. Ramlee playing the saxophone, the café’s eclectic decor is earthy with splashes of brightly colored cushions and batik tablecloth to pull it together in a homey ambiance.
What do they think of the café? Just look at the smiles!
Jeffrey Chong (above pix) reckons the Cafe is a cool place to “chill n relax n get some work done. It’s so peaceful, and the drinks are served in generous sizes. The chicken dish is so well cooked with all the typical traditional flavors and taste “.
Look who dropped by. The well known holistic artiste, emcee, singer, and author Regina Ibrahim (third from left) and friends were in the house. Woot Woot!!!
The food is a glorious ensemble that’s inviting in its presentation, plating, color, and taste with the sauces, condiments.
Beautiful Malay Desserts
If you love your kueh and desserts, then these fabulous creamy concoctions doused with coconut crème and gula Melaka are worth breaking your diet for.
