On Valentine’s Day, take the afternoon off, guys!
The most romantic dinner date I had started in the late afternoon.
Imagine driving up the winding stretch past George Town to head up to Batu Ferringhi.
It’s a beautiful afternoon for a leisure check-in at the PARKROYAL Penang Resort.
Chilling out and resting in our room is a great idea. Take a little nap first.
When you wake up, head out for walks around the landscaped pool and quench your thirst with a range of ice-cold cocktails and beers at the Sunset Bar.
Drink in the vivid beach activities as the sun dipped low on the horizon.
Watch parasails take off in the distance. Some youngsters took a ride on horseback on the beach.
Then, take a slow walk and dig your toes in the sand.
The sound of the beach with the waves breaking is so relaxing.
Soon, it was time to settle down for dinner at Uncle Zack By The Beach.
There is no better romantic setting than a spectacular sunset view by the beach.
I savoured my drinks, chatted, laughed.
Remembered the time we held hands and giggled.
The setting was perfect!
Did romantic sparks fly as we witness the sun dip?
A resounding YES!
Candlelight Romantic Dinner For Two by The Beach
Feeling romantic and treated special with a candlelight dinner is so natural.
I was so happy we made time to escape the crowds and traffic jams.
Most restaurants in George Town have a Valentine’s Day special menu set for couples.
Making this little trip is such a romantic gesture on his part for some alone couple of times.
The best dining experience is in the romantic, dim-lighting outdoors under the stars!
This experience is unforgettable.
Our love story began at Uncle Zack By The Beach years ago.
Returning to celebrate is a wonderful trip down memory lane for me.
PARKROYAL Penang Resort has a 5-course western dinner menu aptly named to reflect the mood for love.
“First Glance”
Pan-seared scallops on smoked fish tartare with homemade salsa, caviar, and citrus dressing.
“Seized Hearts”
Lobster bisque or chicken consommé served with rolls and butter.
“Love revelation”
Wild berries sorbet
“Falling in Love”
Grilled Harvey’s rib eye with aromatized fresh herbs served with mushroom cream sauce, potato puree, and highland vegetables
I had the tasty grilled rib eye, often called the crown jewel or a steakhouse menu.
The steak was lightly seasoned with salt and pepper and the right level of doneness.
A perfectly cooked steak is a beautiful thing to be enjoyed.
I was very pleased with Executive Sous Chef Bob Siva’s suggestion to pick the steak for dinner!
“Become One”
Grill silver-fern rack of lamb served with shallot, garlic jus potato puree, and highland vegetables.
“My Love”
Almond and pistachio-crusted sea bass fillet with Angel Hair Pasta, creamy lemon, and anchovy sauce.
“Sweet for My sweet”
Chocolate raspberry pudding with orange marmalade served with hazelnut ice cream and berry drizzle.
“Happily Ever After”
Coffee or Tea with heart shape pralines
After such a decadent and intimate meal for two, we finished off with coffee and retired happily to our room for a night of romance.
Light out!
Happy Valentine Lovebirds!
Treat your sweetheart like a princess with an intimate dinner.
