Songbei Shangri-La Harbin Grand Opening in China

The opening of the 344-room Songbei Shangri-La in the fabled city of ice – Harbin, China marks Shangri-La’s second debut after the group opened the first Shangri-La Hotel in Harbin.

Eighteen years later, this gleaming new property anchors Shangri-La in the heart of Songbei’s business district.

Songbei Shangri-La Harbin – Historical Harbin

The historic city of Harbin witnessed the dawn of the Jin (1115-1234) and Qing (1644-1911) Dynasties, and the cultural influences from neighbouring Russia.

The hotel is located on the edge of the Songhua River’s north bank and a mere five-minute drive from ice festival of Ice & Snow World.

Local attractions the Sun Island Garden, Siberian Tiger Park and Harbin Great Theatre are nearby.

The Harbin Taiping International Airport is 40 minutes away and the Harbin West Railway Station just half an hour’s distance.

The Songbei Shangri-La Harbin – Guest Rooms

The hotel features guest rooms and suites ranging from 42 to 175 square metres, with uninterrupted views of the city and river through floor-to-ceiling windows.

Contemporary and chic and adorned with local art pieces, each living space integrates mood lighting.

The bathrooms are spacious with marble finish and a walk-in wardrobe.

There are 33 executive serviced apartments for longer-term guests.

Free-Wi-Fi is available throughout the Songbei Shangri-La Harbin.

An introductory offer is available until 20 February 2017.

The special rate is from RMB 1,350 per night. This includes a daily breakfast buffet.

The supplementary breakfast charge for a second guest sharing the same room is RMB 50 and double GC Award Points for Shangri-La’s Golden Circle members.
