One of the best delights of working on my own time is hanging out with my friends for Afternoon Tea Set or High Tea.
Recently, I was invited by Hilton Penang to savor the treats at DoubleTree Resort.
The venue was the Axis Lounge, just a step from the TeddyVille Museum within DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Penang.
As Wei Ying and I walked in, we were greeted by a lovely Christmas Tree, lit up and nearly reaching the ceiling.
Suddenly, I was reminded of the lyrics of ‘First of May,’ a song by the Bee Gees.

We used to laugh while others used to play

Someone else moved in from far away.
Christmas is always a joyous celebration, and teatime treats are especially delightful when shared with a good friend.
That’s why Wei Ying and I felt like teenagers again as we settled down to choose our seats near the relaxing sounds of the water fountain.
Our preferred location is directly next to the water feature, where you can unwind while taking in the soothing sound of the running water.
We shared stories about friendship and new beginnings.
We laughed about our first meeting, reminiscing about cherished moments.
And eagerly discussed the exciting possibilities ahead—all the good, fun stuff girls talk about.
From browsing the newest styles in clothing to enjoying delicious meals, particularly desserts and teatime treats.
Our conversation was a delightful blend of laughter, dreams, and the anticipation of creating more beautiful memories together.

This set has two drink options, various pastries, and savory and sweet snacks.
Priced at RM88 nett per set for two persons, it is one of Malaysia’s cheapest afternoon sets available via the Hilton chain.
It is highly recommended that you try it if you visit Penang for your next trip or staycation.
