Miodis Cafe - Lorong Abu Siti, Penang

Waffle Dessert Feast At Miodis Cafe

Miodis Cafe opens at 9.00 AM, and that’s perfect for an early brunch right after my exercises.

I was driving down Lorong Abu Siti in George Town, which almost turned into 7 Village, when I spotted Miodis Cafe with its pastel green exteriors and large arched windows across the road.

There is a vast arch and glass panels, with Miodis in bold at the parapet.

I read about cafes, flowers, and gifts and thought it would be nice to chill in a florist-run cafe.

Since I dined in a florist-run restaurant, I’ve been addicted to a garden setting.

Check out this floral-themed cafe, which is beautifully decorated with flowers on the walls and on desserts, too!

I read a review that described the large arched windows at this spot as screaming modern Parisian vibes.

Parisian Vibe embodies the “international cool girl” Paris Hilton wannabe, not Aunty me.

Nope, I wasn’t wearing any cozy cardigans, soft silk scarf, and the last I saw the Eiffel Tower by moonlight was in 1994.

But I like pretty cafes, and Miodis is great with excellent service.

I also like the pastel walls, muted colors of the flowers, and overall relaxing ambiance.

Cafe hoppers, you’ll love this!

As you enter Miodis, you are greeted by a picturesque stage set with pink flowers—a perfect spot for your Instagram.

Imagine dining in gilded birdcage-like seating with the Miodis Cafe logo lit —you get the idea.

Wear something long, flowy, and PINK.

The aunty in exercise gear scurried to the single seat near the cake display and fought a hard battle with sugar and temptations in the morning.

The first battle of the morning won!

I ordered an Americano with Milke aside and didn’t break the sugar packet!

Miodis Cafe

Miodis Cafe is a Cafe, a florist, and retail for cute knick-knacks.

This is a good place to shop for something nice for flowers and pressies.

The deco is bright, with well-spaced-out seating arrangements.

You can sit in a group at a long table, or if you go alone, it’s no problem; you get a single table near the cake glass cage.

For me, that’s too tempting!

Yes, high tea fans, I asked about high tea for you ladies.

It’s not available now, but do call the cafe (not me) to check later. <wink!>

For me, the Toy Tree was very tempting, too!

Miodis Cafe Menu

Now, let’s look at the menu. While Miodis Cafe appears to serve a Western meal with finger food options, its main attraction is for dessert lovers.

The unique dessert presentation served Bubble Waffle Wraps (Hong Kong-style eggettes) decked with rose-shaped ice cream and delicious toppings such as fruits, cookies, wafers, and marshmallows!

Miodis Cafe has a good selection of breakfast and brunch items and also serves pretty cakes, exciting drinks, and photo-worthy teddy bear coffee!

And I got an Americano with milk on the side. What was I thinking?

I got very distracted by the ceiling!

Miodis Cafe Service

The menu has a selection of savory eats, drinks, and desserts to sweeten your visit.

The service is excellent, and there is great care when making recommendations.

While there is table service (much appreciated!), you must go to the counter and place your orders.

The ordering counter is next to the florist, a corner dedicated to selling bouquets of fresh flowers.

Don’t worry. They will bring your food to your table.

Miodis’s Drink Menu

While the drink menu offers quite a selection. (How did I miss the iced teddy espresso latte?)

I would have been thrilled with a cute latte and Ted.

I am so going to order this the next time I go!

What I ordered At Miodis Cafe

As for dining, there are several all-day breakfast options, including Super Breakfast, Egg Ben Bubble Style, Medi T-Baked Egg, and Waffle With Espresso Butter.

I was recommended Horlick Chicken Schnitzel, except I wasn’t keen on deep-fried chicken (you kidding me, Dory) and Horlicks.

Okay, okay, it’s the Horlicks! I keep thinking of Icecream Shake somehow.

So I opted for the Super Breakfast!

And think to myself, yes, that should last me until dinner!

Miodis Cafe Super Breakfast (RM20)

Excellent recommendation.

The Scrambled Eggs were perfect soft curds, not runny.

I got sides of Baked Beans, two Sausages, two slices of Ham, two Waffle wedges, a Hash Brown, and Salad.

Super Breakfast is nice and filling and at a reasonable price.

The food is lovely and served hot!

Miodis Cafe Americano (RM9)

Coffee is excellent and robust but not the heart-pounding, palpitation-inducing type.

And no, Pepe (I haven’t dined with you in a long time), it didn’t put hair on my chest!

I like the way it is served with a rose petal.

It makes me think of “Always A Better Tomorrow.”

If you’re looking for cafe staples, don’t worry; you can find pasta dishes on the menu.

Choice offerings include Aglio Olio, Seafood Marinara, Chicken Mushroom Carbonara, and Meatball Arrabbiata.

Miodis Cafe Cakes

Modis offers many pretty cakes.

Look at the glass chiller for the ones you want to try.
