Rock to Rock Run 2025 Raises RM50,000 for Education

Rock to Rock Run 2025 was more than a charity event.

It was a celebration of a decade-long commitment to community, fitness, and giving back.

Held at Hard Rock Hotel Penang, this year’s run marked the 10th anniversary of Rock to Run.

And it did not disappoint.

The crowd? Energised.

The purpose? Clear.

The impact? Still growing.

This year saw 2,015 runners take part — from school kids to seasoned regulars.

Some were first-timers.

Others have laced up every year since the beginning.

The event kicked off at sunrise.

Runners gathered at the entrance of the hotel, ready to go.

The start line is at the main road, with the route stretching to the Tropical Spice Garden, to Entopia and back.

Flag Off

YB Daniel Gooi Zi Sen officiated the start, sharing an encouraging message about health and unity.

YB Syerleena Abdul Rashid, speaking on behalf of the Chief Minister, applauded the hotel’s commitment to community-focused events.

Raises RM50,000 for Education

Rock to Rock Run 2025 raised RM50,000 for education, pushing the total donations since 2010 to RM546,000.

These funds will be split equally between two local beneficiaries:

  • Sekolah Kebangsaan Batu Ferringhi will renovate a classroom to create a more inclusive space for students with disabilities.
  • Caring Hearts Berhad will continue supporting education for refugee and underserved children in Penang.

This isn’t just fundraising.

It’s future-building.

“Rock to Run is more than a race,” said YB Daniel Gooi Zi Sen.
