Maxim Dim Sum Pekaka Morning Yum Cha Delight

Maxim Dim Sum Pekaka is recommended as the first eating pit stop if you have just arrived at Penang Airport.

When I picked Wendy, it was another 54 minutes before we reached the Dim Sum restaurant in Precinct 10.

So I quickly decided to head to Maxim Dim Sum at Taman Pekaka.

I remember this outlet to be very popular and my favorite dim sum in the vicinity.

Once you try it, you’ll know why!

Maxim Dim Sum Hassle-Free Queuing and Ordering

Maxim has an excellent queuing system in place. Even when the restaurant is packed, the wait time is not more than 10 minutes.

As you join the queue, the staff recommends your tea and hands you a card.

Once seated, you can grab the order card and pick your dim sum favorites, and the friendly waitress will tick the pricing for each item.

It’s that easy!

There is no need to stress about the ordering process here.

Shrimp Rice Noodle Rolls, or “Har Cheung” (Cantonese), is a dim sum classic and consists of fresh shrimp wrapped around light rice noodles, or Cheung Fun with a light soy sauce and spicy sambal.

Steamed Pork with Black Bean
