If you’re searching for an affordable and cozy café, Hungry Boy is a hidden gem we discovered on a Sunday morning.
Pei Ying and I wanted to hang out at a nice café that wouldn’t break the bank.
The breakfast café in Penang is perfect as a midpoint for our meet-up.
What is Hungry Boy?
Hungry Boy is a breakfast cafe that sells delicious breakfasts and fresh sandwiches.
Western Big Breakfast, Pasta, Sandwiches, and the Malaysian favorite NASI LEMAK are on their menu.
On the first trip, Pei Ying and I tried their Avocado Bacon Toast sandwiches and fresh fruit juice.
They were simple, tasty, and delicious.
Good Prices
Penang cafes have become unaffordable, but Hungry Boy kept its prices low.
Recently, I dropped by for their standard Nasi Lemak (RM5.90), a large portion with a hard-boiled egg, fried anchovies, peanuts, cucumber slices, and a zesty, sweet sambal sauce.
I paired that with a hot Ying Yong (tea and coffee with milk RM3.50).
Finding a brunch in a café that costs below RM10 in Penang is almost impossible.
Good Service
Their service was friendly and nice, so I ordered more food.
For my next meal, I ordered a Cheezy Ham Egg Toast Sandwich (RM7.90) and Fried Chicken Lorbak (RM8.90) for takeaway.
The food is served in very big portions and tastes good, worth the price!
Hungry Boy Vibes
The café’s atmosphere is nice, neat, and very clean, and the wait staff are friendly and helpful.
Other Menu Items
I also want to try Alfredo Chicken Chop, Hainan coffee, and Horkasai!
Hungry Boy provides dine-in, takeaway, and third-party delivery services.
In conclusion, we highly recommend the outlet as a clean and tidy cafe where the food and drinks taste great!
It offers good prices and friendly service!
