AirAsia now flies direct to Hanoi and Phuket from Penang!

Exciting news for Penangites: Air Asia now flies directly from Penang to Hanoi and Phuket!

The direct flights to both cities, Hanoi, Vietnam, and Phuket, Thailand, commence on 1 July 2018.

AirAsia’s Head of Commercials, Spencer Lee, said the low-cost carrier will offer promotional all-in-fares for one-way travel.

  • RM99 (Penang-Hanoi)
  • RM79 (Penang-Phuket)

The booking period is from now to April 15, 2018, and the travel period is between July 1, 2018, and Oct 28, 2018.

Penang’s new ninth and tenth routes will strengthen AirAsia’s inter-ASEAN connectivity. Penang’s strategic location will help boost the growing inbound and outbound travel demand.

“Flights from Penang to Hanoi will operate four times weekly, while flights to Phuket will operate with daily direct flights.

“As a truly Asian airline that flies to all 10 Asian countries, we are happy to continue our efforts in linking up our Asian footprint further as part of our extensive network.

“We are positive that the latest routes will significantly contribute to the tourism sectors of all three countries and make the region a desirable destination for travelers worldwide,” he added.
