Westin Resort Nusa Dua Bali Celebrates Time to Shine

Westin Resort Nusa Dua Bali’s annual Appreciation Gathering, Time to Shine saw a social evening of 300 of Bali’s leading travel agents and media representatives.

They thrilled invited guests to experience the “secret garden setting” at the resort’s newly enhanced Lobby.

The Lobby’s design has beautiful clusters of crystalline glass ribbons suspended from the ceiling to mimic migrating flocks of birds.

A Time to Shine

They served cocktails to coincide with Unwind, a meaningful ritual conducted at the resort to acknowledge the transition from day to night.

The dimming of lights and a subtle change in music preceded a traditional Balinese parade.

Bali-based leading designer Dwi Iskandar showcases a range of ethnically inspired clothing for the fashion parade. The music lulled the body, mind, and spirit into a state of relaxation.

A flash mob of costumed dancers led the guests to the elaborately decorated Nusantara Hall.

They made speeches along with the presentation of awards to top performing partners.

A Scrumptious Dinner

Executive Chef Manoj Rawat and his culinary team presented a delicious buffet spread from resort’s dining venues, Prego, Velada Tapas Bar, and Kitchen.

Entertainment

Former Indonesian Idol finalist, Citra Scholastika took to the stage accompanied by a backing band to perform a number of well-known jazzy-pop hits.

Lucky Draws

They drew door prizes at intervals throughout the entire evening and lucky winners took home accommodation vouchers from supporting Marriott Hotels & Resorts around Asia.

The grand prize was a return trip to Bangkok, Thailand courtesy of Thai Airways, including a two-night stay at the sister property in Bangkok, Thailand.

Executive Assistant Manager of The Westin Resort Nusa Dua Alex Dietzsch said that the Appreciation Dinner was an opportunity to acknowledge and reward their business our partners.

“Time to Shine got 2018 off to a positive start. We acknowledge our associates and travel industry executives who have helped us navigate the past year successfully.

We are happy to celebrate and connect in an uplifting setting away from the office,” he said.
