Anantara Sathorn Review – My weekend stay in the heart of Bangkok’s Central Business District to celebrate a celebrity lifestyle.
Bangkok is chock full of luxurious accommodations. The Anantara Sathorn Bangkok Hotel provides the best urban sanctuary just off the city’s business and shopping hubs.
The hotel has floor-to-ceiling glass windows providing panoramic views of the bustling city life below.
We met several business travelers and weekend leisure vacationers when we checked in.
The hotel lobby is elegantly furnished and modern, and everything was clean.
Anantara Bangkok Sathorn’s rooms and suites take commanding panoramic views all around.
The Zoom Sky Bar on the 40th floor offers a 360-degree full panoramic stunning view.
The Happy Hour cocktails are always a winner with the guests. The price of drinks is reasonable.
We only had two nights at this beautiful hotel.
Our 2-bed apartment has a master bedroom and a bedroom that is spacious.
The bathrooms are clean and well-equipped.
Each apartment has a kitchenette with cooking facilities, a flat-screen TV, and a minibar.
The room WiFi is decent and fast enough for WhatsApp, but it may be spotty when heavy usage occurs.

Breakfast by the Poolside
Thai and International cuisine is the right choice for a tasty breakfast.
We enjoyed a tremendous poolside breakfast in the mornings.
The service is excellent and the staff polite.
The fruit, eggs, and bread station are outdoors by the poolside. This is a nice touch.
Do go before 8.30 am if you want a good table by the poolside.
The breakfast crowds come down towards 9 am.
The hotel has two restaurants overlooking the pool. 100° East Restaurant serves an array of Asian and western cuisines.
Crust Restaurant serves great gourmet pizzas.
We ordered a pizza for room service the night we arrived, and it was delicious.
Use the Free Shuttle Service to get around.
There’s a free shuttle bus service to Chong Nonsi Skytrain Station for excellent connectivity.
If you decide to walk, it’s about 10 mins from Chong Nongsi BTS.
If you’re taking a cab, the main road in front of the hotel can get rather congested during peak hours.
Sathorn is an excellent choice for travelers interested in temples, culture, and sightseeing.
You can eat at street food stalls around Anatra Sathorn Bangkok.
The in-hotel restaurant may be slightly more pricey than nearby eateries in malls like Empire Building. For the adventurous, there are street food stalls just outside the hotel.
Look for the one that is more sanitary along the side road.
Most locals are excellent at eating here for a great economical breakfast or lunch.
On the way to the Chong Nonsi BTS station, there are more street food stalls selling all sorts of local cuisine.
So there’s plenty of food all around.
The party starts when the sun goes down.
As the day close to an end, take the elevator up to the 40th floor and drink in the sunset.
Zoom is the best sky bar in Bangkok.
