Chef Jiro has created a brand new menu for the resort’s cosmopolitan restaurant with his knack for pairing creativity and delicacies in his western cuisine.
With more than a decade of hospitality experience, Chef Jiro has set out to transform Tide’s dining offerings with his passion and skill.
The Westin Langkawi Resort & Spa’s Hotel Manager, Rajiv Kapoor, welcomes Chef Jiro as chef de cuisine committed to developing a new menu for Tide enhanced by his enthusiasm and creativity in the kitchen.
“I am certain our guests will relish in his new creations,” said Rajiv Kapoor.
In his role as Chef De Cuisine, Chef Jiro will head the day-to-day operations of Tide. He will be developing and executing inspired new recipes and menus befitting the Westin brand.
Before joining The Westin Langkawi Resort & Spa, he served as Chef De Cuisine at The Andaman, a Luxury Collection Resort Langkawi.
Later at DoubleTree by Hilton Kuala Lumpur, Le Méridien Kuala Lumpur, and The Westin Kuala Lumpur, where he started as Chef De Partie and eventually moved up through the ranks.
Chef Jiro’s signature dishes come highly recommended. Land and Sea Combination of Half Grilled Lobster with Char-Grilled Black Angus Prime Beef Tenderloin.
Served with Asian-style couscous and buttered asparagus.
“I am looking forward to blending my love of fresh and locally sourced ingredients in Langkawi. By using various techniques, I have acquired in my experience. I think we have struck the balance of creativity and delicacy,” he said—Chef Jiro, who will train and manage the culinary team.
