Buffet Review The Wembley Cafe Penang

When the Wembley Café opened in April 2015, their Buy 1 Free 1 buffet was the talk of George Town.

Penangites love a good bargain, and this was a great one! To this day the buffets are packed and good in presentation and taste.

My favorite chefs are here.

It’s beautiful to walk in, meet old friends, and chat.

Executive Chef Kam and Chef Lim ensured everything was in tip-top shape.

The photos entice, but the proof is in the taste and the repeat customers. Do drop by for dinner.

For seafood lovers. There’s a lot of shellfish that is being replenished.

My favorite is the braised duck garnished with garlic and the two dipping sauces.

The best dinners are with friends.

It’s one of the fun ways to meet and make new friends. Finally, a selfie with Executive Chef Kam.

Tired of the same buffet meals? No worries, The Wembley Buffet has a rotating menu.

“Wembley Buffet” – 4, 11, 18, & 25 November 2016, 7 pm – 10 pm at Wembley Café (Level 2)

  • Prawns with Oats, chili padi, and Curry Leaves, Deep-Fried Fish with Mango Sauce, Scallop Vadouvan, chicken cordon bleu, and Teriyaki Salmon!

“Western Buffet” – 5, 12, 19, & 26 November 2016, 7 pm – 10 pm at Wembley Café (Level 2)

  • Baked River Prawns with Cheese Sauce; Baked Salmon with Mango Salsa, Chicken Peri Peri, and Steamed Baby Octopus with Pickled Lettuce Dip.

Theme Buffet Dinner is from 7 pm – 10 pm. That’s three solid hours of packing in the goodies and enjoying the beautiful in a wonderfully nice environment.

Hint: Don’t miss the porridge with its accompanying braised chicken, duck, tofu, and hard-boiled eggs. Serve it with a liberal garnish of garlic oil and the two types of chili sauce. The only thing missing would be the koay, as in Duck Koay Chiap Soup.

Review: The Wembley is a city hotel with great connectivity. It is within walking distance to great shopping, street food, murals, and the arts.
