Ritz Garden Hotel Ipoh Review Central Location

An unforgettable weekend staycation at Ritz Garden Hotel Ipoh left me feeling delighted, especially with its prime location just 5 minutes away from all the must-try culinary delights in Ipoh!

This is a great place to stay overnight while traveling through Ipoh, Malaysia, on a stopover.

I enjoyed soaking in quaint buildings and Kopitiams’ charm and discovering many new favorite eateries.

Exploring the Old Quarters, admiring the restored heritage buildings, and relaxing in the local cafes was a blast.

In Penang, the heritage zone is concentrated around Armenian Street.

IpIpoh’soncubine Lane and the surrounding area are a boon for shops and businesses.

Where To Eat Around the Ritz Garden Hotel?

The Ritz Garden Hotel, located in the heart of Ipoh City, is an excellent choice for leisure and business travelers.

The location, between Old and New Town, is perfect. It allows easy walking access to the commercial area and tourist spots.

The hotel is a 5-minute walk from all the famous must-eat Ipoh foods: “Nga Choy Kai” “Ayam Taugeh), salt-baked chicken, roast duck, bean curd, and biscuit shops.

I always buy coconut candy whenever I’m in Ipoh.

These are plump and taste richly of santan!

Woong Kok’s Soya bean curd stall is just around the corner from the hotel.

It offers silky, soft “tau foo fa “and creamy soya bean milk.

The shop is open from 1 pm to 6 pm.

Getting around was easy, whether walking, taking a taxi, or being treated to local delicacies by Ipohan friends.

This was the best way to visit, enjoying the pure joy of a makan trip!

I realized that getting around in Ipoh is not too difficult.

While parking can be challenging over long weekends, it’s manageable if you’re willing to walk a bit.

I went around tasting IpIpoh’savorite foods, especially those locals loved.

The taste is top-notch; Ipohites have refined taste buds, and all the food was delicious to this Penangite.

Did You Know that the Ritz Garden Hotel Ipoh Was Once an Office Block?

I was amazed by how they transformed the former office building into the Ritz Garden Hotel.

The owners skillfully designed and integrated the old structure with a new extension.

The hotel is a significant part of the history of Jalan Yang Kalsom and Jalan Hussein.

Its location is ideal, close to some famous eateries within walking distance.

My stay at the Ritz Garden Hotel was cozy, comfortable, and convenient.

I stayed in a family room with a king-size bed and a single bed, and they offer various room categories.

The room was air-conditioned, spacious, and clean. It featured amenities such as a flat-screen TV, mini-fridge, kettle, and phone.

The bed was comfortable and inviting, with fresh-smelling, clean sheets and pillows.

I spent my time relaxing in the room, alternating between sleeping and surfing the Internet.

The hotel provides free Wi-Fi in all rooms and public areas.

The bathroom had a sitting bath and a separate shower area with a glass wall.

The water pressure was strong, though the showerhead was a bit small.

There was also a hairdryer and a clothesline—convenient features for a smaller hotel.

Ritz Recipe, located on the lobby level, offers 24-hour dining with reasonably priced menus ranging from Asian to Western cuisine.

The café serves decent meals, but the small dining area can get crowded during breakfast.

The hotel’s new wing features various amenities, including a KTV, Thai massage center, snooker and cigar bar, adult pool, gym, and cinema.

The owners have also added a decent-sized swimming pool in the interconnected Garden Wing.

I’ll bring my swimsuit for a dip in the cool water on my next trip.

The Thai massage and spa center within the hotel premises has experienced masseurs who can effectively relieve shoulder and back tension.

The interior of the “East Come Restaurant” “Chinese restaurant connects to the Ritz Garden Hotel.

East Come Restaurant is a popular Chinese Restaurant in the business community.

The hotel is connected to a Chinese restaurant called “First Come Restaurant.”

This restaurant is popular with the local business community during lunch.

It offers delicious Chinese food at a reasonable price.

I was told you can request that dishes be prepared with minimal salt and oil.

The restaurant provides set menus for both lunch and dinner on weekdays.

It is open seven days a week, with lunch hours from 11:00 a.m. to 2:20 p.m. and dinner hours from 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

The Cool Lounge is the hotel’s only outlet offering alcoholic drinks.

It’s a great place to unwind and relax with a fantastic iced beer while catching the latest sports updates on the LCD screen.
