Tea Kadai Cafe Delicious Indian Chai Quenchers

Tea Kadai Cafe is the best Indian-style Tea Shop for unique snacks and special Tea in Little India, Penang.

I’ve wanted to visit for the longest time but never made it.

Today, I did, and boy, was I super stoked to find the snack I’ve always wanted to try – the Panipuri.

As for the Milk Tea, I couldn’t stop with one glass!

Original India’s authentic “Tea”/ ‘chai’ is referred to in Malaysia as Teh Tarik.

The “tea” is super unique, served in small glasses with fresh milk.

Tea Kadai Cafe Spot for Hangout

Tea Kadai serves typical Indian-style tea, coffee, and other iced drinks, including sodas.

There is a variety of unique snacks available on the menu.

It is an excellent place to hang out with friends and chat over tea, coffee, or any of your favorite beverages.

Limited Seats In Tea Kadai

It feels cramped inside if you want to sit in the air-conditioned space with limited seating.

I wish they had a bigger space, as the business is buzzing.

It is crowded most of the time, with most crowds dropping in just before 6 PM and staying until late at night.

The little cozy café was a great experience in a friendly environment.

Heaven for Tea lovers at Tea Kadai

The extraordinary teas made up for any shortfall in the cramped café.

The authentic Tamil Nadu teas are super delicious.

I asked other friendly patrons whose recommendations were Masala Tea and Almond Tea.

Snacks at Tea Kadai

There is an excellent array of delicious snacks.

You can find simple fried Popiah to Panipuri, Mixed Bajji, and more on the menu.

The snacks arrived hot, freshly made, and delicious.

I ordered the Panipuri and Mixed Bajji and was not disappointed.

They are freshly deep-fried, too hot to handle with fingers, but superb.

So delicious!

Overall, it’s one of my favorite places to visit now.

Cakes at Tea Kadai

There are Western cakes available, too, in the refrigerated display cabinet.

I saw Blueberry Cheesecake, Carrot Cake, Chocolate Cake, and Brownie slices.

Best Tea Shop For Tasty Hot Tea

It was almost 6 PM when I found the Tea Kadai Café. We ordered small Milk Teas, which arrived with a thin layer of foam and were very tasty.

It was one of the tastiest teas I’ve had in a long time!

Those tiny cups are not too sweet, just right, and burst with aroma and flavor.

Teh Kadai has different types of hot and cold teas.

You can enjoy Masala tea at Tea Kadai if you like a kick.

They make authentic masala tea using fresh cow milk with original herbs.

I’ve watched the barista (who doubles up as the cashier) make the drinks with great passion and concentration.

The trick is in Teh Tarik’s style of pulling Tea.

Fabulous.

Coffee at Tea Kadai Cafe

You can order a coffee instead if you’re not a tea drinker.

Bru Coffee at Tea Kadai

I was overwhelmed by the teas and completely forgot my favorite drink – Bru Coffee.

After 6 PM, I would be up until morning if I had tea and coffee.

But one thing’s sure: I’m soon dropping by for a Bru Coffee.

I saw that they have a special floured bru with caramel and hazelnuts.

Sounds delicious.

Tasty cold coffee

There is tasty, well-flavored cold coffee; some have chocolate flakes and even hazelnuts.

I looked around and saw others enjoying their drinks, laughing and smiling.

Tea Kadai Cafe Review

If you want to try something different, I recommend Tea Kadai.

It offers tasty teas and coffees, unique Indian snacks, and Western cakes.

The location is very strategic in Little India.

The price of snacks and drinks is very reasonable, with quick, prompt service even when running a full house.

The crowds are mainly locals with an odd visitor or two.

You can easily walk here from the Love Lane enclave.

If you are a tourist, no worries, the staff speak English.

It’s one of my must-return to eat through the menu kind of café!

The only downside is the cafe has minimal space and seating and is unsuitable for big groups or families.

I would appreciate it if Tea Kadai Cafe could expand into a bigger shop lot so that more tea lovers can enjoy their drinks!
