St Giles Wembley Penang Near Food and Transport

St Giles Wembley Penang drops you right in the heart of George Town, just steps from the city’s best food, shopping, and sights.

Part of the Cititel Hotel Management (CHS) group, which manages over 1,100 rooms across three hotels. CHS clearly understands what travellers want; comfort, convenience, and style.

The hotel sits on the former site of Wembley Park amusement centre and is now a sleek four-star property at the junction of two main roads.

Its three-star sister hotel, Cititel Express, is just around the corner, but St Giles Wembley is the better pick for the full experience.

Shops, street food, malls, and cultural attractions are all within walking distance.

There are four dedicated disabled (OKU) parking spaces, making it easy for all guests to get in and out.

Rooms That Make You Feel at Home

The Deluxe rooms are around 28 square meters, with king-size beds, plenty of power points, and thoughtful touches like color-coded toothbrushes and bottled water.

Modern décor with batik accents adds a local touch.

From my own stay, I can tell you that small details make a big difference.

I liked the easy lift access with your room key, and the spacious layout that gives plenty of room to move around or work if needed.

The rooms feel stylish, roomy, and comfortable making it ideal for both business and leisure travellers.

Breakfast, Buffets, and Bites

The Wembley Cafe, Penang

Breakfast at St Giles Wembley is impressive, with a wide variety of local, Asian, and Western dishes.

Live cooking stations mean hot dishes are always fresh.

It can get busy, so arriving early is wise.

During my stay, I enjoyed trying local favorites like porridge with braised duck and the vegetarian noodles prepared by the chef.

Both dishes are fresh and flavorful.

The chef prepared vegetarian bee hoon for Doreen.

Ending the meal with desserts at the buffet is a nice touch for those who like a little indulgence.

Later in the evening, the Executive Lounge is a great spot to relax with tea or coffee while watching the city wind down.

This is a peaceful break after exploring George Town.
