Adrian takes over from Subash, who retired after a remarkable 50-year career in the hospitality industry.
Adrian Chua’s Hospitality Career and Leadership Journey
With over 30 years of experience in hospitality, Adrian has held leadership roles at globally recognized brands such as Intercontinental Hotels Group and Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts.
His career began in 1996 in food and beverage at the Lafite French fine dining restaurant at Shangri-La Hotel Kuala Lumpur.
In 2007, Adrian joined The Westin Kuala Lumpur as QBA Restaurant and Bar Manager, showcasing his leadership and operational expertise.
His career then expanded internationally, where he played an instrumental role in launching the first Aloft hotel in Asia Pacific outside of North America – Aloft Beijing Haidian.
Over the following years, he held senior leadership positions across multiple Marriott properties, including The Westin Kuala Lumpur, Four Points by Sheraton Beijing, Le Méridien Qingdao, Sheraton Xi’an, and The Westin Beijing Chaoyang.
Most recently, Adrian served as the General Manager of Aloft Langkawi Pantai Tengah, where he significantly enhanced guest experience and operational performance.
Beyond his professional achievements, Adrian is an avid cyclist and enjoys exploring new culinary experiences.
