Rock to Rock Run 2025: A Decade of Unity and Giving Back

The 10th edition of Rock to Rock Run 2025, organized by Hard Rock Hotel Penang, blends fitness, fun, and philanthropy.

Penang, Malaysia – January 9, 2025

The countdown has begun for the 10th edition of the Rock to Rock Run 2025 (RTRR), one of Penang’s most anticipated charity events.

Organized by Hard Rock Hotel Penang, RTRR has successfully blended fitness, fun, and philanthropy over the past decade.

From a Single Guitar to a Global Legacy

Hard Rock, a globally recognized brand with over 309 locations across 70 countries, first made its mark in Penang in 2009 as Malaysia’s first Rock ‘n Roll hotel.

In 2024, Hard Rock expanded its presence with a new Rock Shop in George Town, reaffirming its commitment to the local heritage and community.

Beyond its business success, Hard Rock Hotel Penang has been dedicated to positively impacting the community.

Its corporate social responsibility initiatives include Pinktober, Earth Hour, and the ever-popular Rock to Rock Run.

A Milestone for Rock to Rock Run 2025

At the official launch on January 9, 2025, Hard Rock Hotel Penang’s General Manager, Michael Smeeton, expressed his enthusiasm for the 10th edition of RTRR.

Rock to Rock Run 2025 is more than just a race; it’s a celebration of community and giving back.

This year, we are supporting two incredible causes: Sekolah Kebangsaan Batu Ferringhi by refurbishing a special needs classroom and Caring Hearts Berhad, which ensures education for underprivileged and refugee children.

Since its inception, RTRR has raised over RM500,000 for various meaningful causes, and this year, we aim to raise RM50,000,” said Smeeton.

A Decade of Impact

Since 2010, Rock to Rock Run 2025 has raised more than RM500,000 for numerous organizations.

Some of the beneficiaries over the years include:

2010: RM46,000 to Rumah Seri Cahaya
