Penang, November 25, 2023 – The festive spirit is aglow again at Angsana Teluk Bahang Hotel as guests gather for an early Christmas celebration following a two-year hiatus.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, numerous hotels in Penang had to cancel their annual Christmas tree lighting ceremonies for the past two years.
The return of this highly anticipated event, a shining star in Penang’s festive traditions, was warmly embraced and enthusiastically received by all.
The air buzzed with excitement as hotel guests, business associates, and children from underserved communities joyfully mingled around the Christmas tree adorned with an array of shiny ornaments and presents.
José Luis Barrera, the General Manager of Angsana Teluk Bahang Hotel, expressed sincere gratitude for the generosity and support from colleagues, partners, the media, and valued guests who joined the celebration.
“Their significant contributions are poised to make a meaningful impact, bringing warmth and joy to the children’s hearts during this festive season.
It’s almost Christmas! And the most wonderful time of the year, filled with family, friends, and holiday cheer.
While we embark on the holiday season filled with holiday gatherings, decorations, and gift-giving, let’s not forget the most important thing about Christmas: being with our loved ones is what truly matters.
With the flick of a switch, the Christmas Tree illuminated the lobby of Angsana, casting a magical glow.
The delighted expressions on the children’s faces transformed into radiant smiles as Santa and his helper distributed gifts.
The voices of Christmas carolers filled the air with festive melodies, harmonizing with the dazzling lights that adorned the lobby.
To onlookers, it was an enchanting experience, creating memories of the most wonderful holiday they had ever encountered.
Afterward, the hotel distributed gifts to the children and treated all guests to a delightful Christmas buffet.
“We recorded a high occupancy rate of 99.5% this weekend,” beamed Hotel General Manager José Luis Barrera, who remarked that the year-end holiday season is more memorable as people can socialize again.
“We extend a warm welcome to guests seeking stays of 1 day, three days, five days, 14 days, or even a whole month, inviting them to partake in the festivities leading up to the New Year’s Eve celebrations!
“It has always brought joy to celebrate the lighting ceremony with everyone here at the hotel, and the absence of this tradition for the past two years made it feel like something essential was missing,” he expressed.
Guests spent the night exchanging pleasantries over a delicious Christmas buffet dinner.
“We are looking forward to welcoming you and your family back to Angsana Teluk Bahang, Penang, soon,” said José Luis Barrera.
