Embark on a flavorful adventure with Dulang Arabia promotion with a celebration platter for two.
I was bowled over by Angsana Hotel’s Dulang Arabia celebration platter.
Discovering Dulang Arabia Promotion
When my friend suggested trying the Dulang Arabia celebration platter at Jendela restaurant, I was intrigued by the idea of a fun-filled “Dayangs” (maidens) lunch with an extravagant Dulang (Tray) set.
Little did I know that this experience would surpass all my expectations.
The Culinary Extravaganza
The Dulang Arabia celebration platter starts with a refreshing salad starter and soul-warming soup.
However, the true highlight is the enormous Dulang set, brimming with meats, seafood, skewered chicken, salads, pita bread, and hummus.
The meal culminates with a selection of cold desserts and glasses of ice-cold Arabic Tea infused with cinnamon’s delightful goodness.
And all of this can be savored for just RM 128 nett per set, making it an absolute steal!
While we waited for our lunch set, we started with coffee.
Our orders were for Flat White, which is more robust due to its coffee-to-milk proportion.
An excellent mid-morning pick me served with a delicious chocolate chip cookie – which tastes like a brittle!
A Slow Lunch, but Worth the Wait
As someone known for eating quickly, the multicourse serving of Arabic cuisine initially surprised me.
However, as each dish arrived, I realized the brilliance of this approach.
Arabic cuisine embraces the mezze tradition, a small dish served at the beginning of a multicourse meal that sets the stage for an exquisite culinary journey.
What is a typical Arabic lunch?
Arabic dishes like hummus, falafel, and kebabs are famous worldwide and a staple of Middle Eastern meals.
These all come from Levantine cuisine, the traditional food of the Bilad ash-Sham region.
Mezze, the hallmark of Levantine cuisine, is a collection of small dishes served at the start of a multicourse meal.
I found great satisfaction in savoring these delightful and flavorful offerings.
The 9 Diverse Flavors of Arabic Cuisine
The Dulang Arabia platter encapsulates the essence of Arabic cuisine, drawing inspiration from the Mediterranean, Middle East, and India.
Dulang Arabia Promotion has 9 delectable dishes served, including a lovely iced Arabic Tea.

Yahala Fattoush Salad
First, we were served a vibrant salad featuring the addictive tang of Goat Cheese, leaving a lasting impression with its rich and slightly salty flavor.
As I love Goat Cheese, I was busily digging for a more addictive, tangy, decadent, slightly salty flavor morsel.
Seafood Soup
When the soup was served, I was too busy taking photos and initially thought it was a starter of mussels and prawns on a bed of mashed potatoes (another favorite).
As it turns out, the server was ready to pour hot soup into the bowl.
The hummus (which I like even more) gives the soup a nice body and thickness without being too rich.
I love the fusion soup, which combines seafood, Mediterranean, and Asian flavors. Hummus adds a delightful body and thickness to the broth.
It was hearty, packed with protein, a little fat, and healthy!
The fresh seafood combination of Prwan, Fish, Mussels, and Crab in Tomatoes and Saffron Broth was a delight!
Moussaka (Maghmour)
Moussaka (Maghmour) is an eggplant lover’s dream on a hot summer day.
A simple and aromatic vegetarian side dish seasoned with Cumin, coriander, smoked paprika, caramelized onions, and garlic.
Naturally vegan and so delicious! The dish is a delightful, vegetarian side to any meal.
Perfect with Pitta Bread.
Lamb & Cauliflower Stew
The hearty and rich dish is filled with tender lamb meat and a delightful blend of warm Arabian spices. The tremendous flavor from the bones leaves a delicious earthy taste.
Delicious with the lamb still retaining a slight bite.

The chickpeas add a nutty flavor to the hummus, while the tahini adds a creamy richness.

We could stop scooping up more.
The Hummus is irresistibly smooth, luxurious, smoky, and savory when you get it right.
