When it launched, I was excited to get hold of the Ayam Pedas Nyonya.
My Nyonya mother encouraged me to get that when she watched the TV ads.
I decided to go early, going around 5:30 PM, before the takeaway order and before the dinner crowds built up.
Guess what, everyone had the same idea.
I was 6th in line and waiting patiently as others seemed to order for a family of 12!

Did the KFC Nyonya Spicy Chicken pass the Nyonya mom’s taste test?
Yups.
She loved it, and so did I. We both enjoyed the taste.
In each crunchy ASMR bite, you can expect a collision of fragrant, tangy, and aromatic Nyonya flavors.
I could taste the spicy and tangy flavor; it felt like a symphony. It was so good I had to stop myself from eating more!
I ate the KFC Nyonya Spicy Chicken, steamed rice, and a leftover pickle (onions, cucumber, and pineapple) from lunch.
The pickle did a beautiful job of balancing the spiciness out.

In 2019, McDonald’s launched its Portuguese Chicken Burger, describing it as “dipped in spicy and flavourful Portuguese sauce! Spicy and savory, with a hint of Nyonya-inspired flavor.”

The Fried Chicken is ASMR Delicious!
It has the spiciness level of KFC Hot and Spicy and the fragrance of Nyonya spices and aroma, which you can taste with a lovely lime tang!
If you’re wondering where my photos are – the reason is simple: I was charging my phone, and my dinner was too irresistible not to eat in one go!
